A couple of months ago my friend CAM invited me join him at the Kennedy Center for a panel discussion after work. The panel was about a theater festival that the Kennedy Center hosts on college campuses. After the discussion we were given a tour of the green room, then wine and hors d’ oeuvres were served on the stage.
What made the green room so interesting was that every playbill from every show that has ever played at the Kennedy Center was on the walls. The tour was informative since I had no idea that the Kennedy Center was publicly funded. The building itself is huge and decadent. I will be going back on Friday to see The Lion King and I hope to get more pictures if time allows. Here are pictures of the tour that includes a couple of dresses from Hello Dolly, and a view of the the balcony at sunset. Gorgeous!
